Wolseley Bridge is less than one mile away, with a post office/shop and cash point within the petrol station. Bottled gas can be purchased from here too. There is a Vintage Inn Pub with good home cooking, an Indian restaurant/takeaway – with deliveries available to the site, a garden centre, craft and antique rooms and the well known Staffordshire Wildlife Trust Headquarters with visitor centre, cafe and walks.

Other local attractions include The National Trust Shugborough Hall Estate, Amerton Farm Visitor Centre, Hednesford Races, Cannock Chase Visitor Centre and the National Arboretum. The area of Wolseley Bridge gives access to scenic canal walks too.  Canalside Farm Shop and cafe can be found just a stones throw from Great Haywood’s Marina and both are well worth a visit!
